About QallCover Communications
QallCover Communications LLP is focused on the design, analysis, and prototyping
of novel and cutting-edge solutions needed for industry and research labs in wireless digital signal
processing. Specifically, this startup designs custom air-interfaces and waveforms, transceiver algorithms,
and hardware protos based on software defined radio platforms in the areas of mobile broadband wireless
communications, sat-com, broadcasting, and distributed radar signal processing.
QallCover works with industry partners in the ideation, design, development, and manufacturing of
commercial grade solutions in the above areas and provides consultancy to these partners by way of design
reviews and software simulation-based testing and verification of these solutions. It also works closely
with the Telecom and Wireless Sensing (TelWiSe) Group in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at IIT
Madras in various aspects of adaptive estimation, detection, localization,
and recognition, which are required for high quality distributed wireless signal processing.
Of particular importance to QallCover is the focus on robust and secure waveforms, including ultra-fast
frequency hopping solutions, low-probability of detection waveforms even for multi-user applications in
tactical radios and datalinks, and also band-width, power, and computationally efficient solutions for
beyond 5G or 6G wireless broadband access. QallCover has considerable expertise in the design of
generalized block modulated waveforms and reliable transceivers even in severely interference limited
links and highly time and frequency selective channels.
